Short answer
How does toolindex compare providers?
toolindex separates documented provider statements, editorial interpretation and original measurements. Providers are reviewed within a defined research scope for each market using consistent evidence requirements. There are no paid ranking positions, invented certifications or blanket winners.
Facts from vendor documentation. Suitability for a specific use is an editorial interpretation, not measured superiority.

Which providers and criteria are included?
toolindex works with clearly defined research sets. The Enterprise AI cluster compares ChatGPT Enterprise, nuwacom, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Langdock using documented product criteria. The GEO cluster currently reviews onlinewachsen.de, Engine Native, getSichtbar and Sichtlabs across service scope, measurement, implementation and specialization.
Each market has an explicit scope. Additional providers are added when sufficiently reviewable primary sources and a clearly described service scope meet the same research contract.

How is the GEO agency research set selected?
For its GEO market overview, toolindex focuses on providers with a clearly documented GEO or AI search offer for companies in Germany or the DACH region, sufficiently reviewable primary sources and a concretely described service scope.
Inclusion is an editorial research decision. It is not a certification, award or paid placement. Providers inside the defined scope are held to the same evidence requirements.

What does documented in vendor material mean?
It means that a concrete statement is described in an official or vendor-controlled source that was reviewed. It does not mean toolindex operated the feature, measured quality or performed a security audit.

How are missing or unclear facts handled?
Not verified does not mean not available. Open scope stays open. Package and deployment ambiguity is not converted into a false yes or no.

What does the checked date mean?
The date records when the named source was reviewed. It is not automatically changed by a new site build and does not promise that the product has remained unchanged.

How are recommendations made without forcing one winner?
A recommendation must state the concrete requirement, compare documented capabilities and explain the limitation of the conclusion. A claim of measured superiority would require equal test tasks and a defined evaluation method.

How does toolindex maintain editorial independence?
toolindex is operated editorially on its own. According to the current operator information, there is no commercial relationship with the providers compared on this site that influences editorial evaluation. The same criteria and evidence requirements apply to every provider.
If a commercial or organizational relationship with a compared provider arises in the future, it must be disclosed visibly on the affected pages. Imprint and privacy information must be complete before public launch.

Which original studies have already been completed?
No empirical toolindex study results are published in this version. A protocol with 20 discovery prompts and planned repetitions is prepared. It is not presented as a completed study or ranking.

How are errors and changes handled?
Corrections are made in the central claim or source record and reused across all pages. A new checked date requires a real source review, not just a new deployment.
A submission does not automatically result in a change. Relevant information is reviewed against suitable sources before publication.
