Controller
The controller for data processing is the operator of toolindex identified in the legal notice.
Technical delivery
toolindex is delivered as a static website through Vercel. Technically necessary connection and log data may be processed when the site is requested, including IP address, time, requested resource, browser information and status codes. This processing supports delivery, stability and security of the website.
Email contact
If you contact toolindex by email, the information you provide is processed to handle the request. The exact retention period depends on the reason for and course of the communication.
Consent settings
Your choice to allow or reject analytics is stored locally in your browser so toolindex can respect it on later page views. This setting is required to manage your privacy choice. You can reopen and change the choice for the future at any time using the Privacy settings link in the footer.
Google Analytics 4
toolindex uses Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, only after you consent. Measurement may include page views, referrer or traffic source, landing pages, technical device and browser characteristics, approximate geographic information and interactions such as scrolling, outbound link clicks and explicitly tagged decision actions. These can include clicks on Find a provider, provider profiles, comparisons, official provider pages, sources and contact links. The purpose is to understand reach, use and the relevance of different content and decision paths on toolindex.
Before consent, the Google Analytics script is not loaded by this implementation. Google Consent Mode v2 initially sets analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied. If analytics consent is granted, only analytics_storage is updated to granted. The three advertising-related signals remain denied.
The legal basis for consent-based analytics is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where information is stored on or accessed from your device, this is based on your consent under the applicable German telecommunications and digital services data protection rules. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Further information about processing and the safeguards used by Google is available in Google privacy information.
Retention
Retention of user-level event data is managed in the Google Analytics property. Aggregated standard reports may remain available for longer independently of that setting. Beyond this, data is processed only for as long as required for the relevant purposes or legal obligations.
